Twas the night before

Le grand départ
And all through the house
Clothes were strewn everywhere;
Helmets, tools, so much else.

As our leaving date has approached, time seems to have sped up; I'd argue that we've done more preparation in the last two weeks than in the two months previous. I think that's how it often goes.

As we settle down to the final night at Olly's family home in a while, I've insisted we look back over our planning and preparation.

And then at around 22.30, after the second "power hour" of the day (thanks, Wad), an ice cream and an Eton mess, things started to really come together.
